This is the fifth conference organized by CIGRÉ’s Canadian National Committee. This major event in power systems will provide an exceptional venue to CIGRÉ members and interested parties for presenting fundamental and technological developments and for promoting key suppliers of products and services for electrical power systems. The conference will bring together power systems engineers, decision makers, economists, academics and others with interest in the profession. It is meant to foster discussion and build understanding of topics facing the power system industry and to showcase Canadian contributions in this field. The ETCSS Committee proudly presents the sixth Annual East Tennessee CyberSecurity Summit to be held in beautiful downtown Knoxville, Tennessee October 19 – October 20, 2010. We are once again setting up shop at the Knoxville Hilton to bring you a great program at an affordable price.

In the classic fable, Chicken Little was ridiculed for his claims about the sky falling. This kind of mass hype/hysteria is becoming more prevalent in today’s media with projects like “Cybershockwave.” Are we on the brink of disaster? Is the sky really falling this time? We intend to explore the validity, or invalidity, of claims regarding the vulnerability of the nations critical infrastructures.

The Conference is co-hosted this year by the FBI, UT, Fountainhead College, TVA, TVA-OIG, and ORNL.  InfraGard chapter members, IT professionals in academia, government, law, and private industry from across the region including Atlanta, Nashville, Columbia, and the Raleigh/Durham area will be attending as well.
